Imagine life by the beach in the shadow of a beautiful mountain with Cape Town International Airport just an hour away and the rest of the city within easy reach. This is what you get when you decide to call Bettys Bay home.
Bettys Bay is the ideal spot for those looking for a quiet environment and access to loads of outdoor activities, including hiking, surfing, snorkelling and cycling. It sports five beaches, three lakes and every home has a view of either mountain, sea, lake or clear blue sky.
But aside from the serene nature and active lifestyle it offers, this village on the Whale Coast of South Africa also has a range of properties to choose from with prices typically starting at R1.5 million.
The majority of homes are valued at around R2.5, while luxury properties can go up to R10 million. Yards are large so you'll have lots of personal space too. Check out homes in Bettys Bay and surrounds here.
Just because it's a small village doesn't mean you have limited options for education and healthcare. Several villages in this region have preschools or creches, while the Pringle House Eco School in nearby Pringle Bay takes learners up to Grade 5. The seaside town of Kleinmond to the east has two primary schools and also private schools for high school learners.
Good hospitals and clinics are situated within driving distance in Hermanus and Somerset West and Kleinmond has several general practitioners. Supermarkets are found in Kleinmond while Bettys Bay has a small supermarket for necessities.

The countryside destination might be small, but it has lots to offer those who work in the surrounding areas and prefer a relaxed life in a place where everyone knows your name.
Rawsonville's location in the winelands makes it an adventure to live in. Its beautiful views and natural attractions are sure to impress and its climate calls for an adventurous spirit too. Summer temperatures can reach 38⁰C or higher in February and March, while the surrounding mountains experience snow in some of the winter months.
Homes here are spacious and well-kept with large gardens. Information from Property24 indicates that the average selling price for properties sold between 2012 and 2021 ranges from R500 000 to just below R1.5 million, making these homes great value for money. Hospitals and clinics are available in nearby Worcester, including Worcester Hospital, Worcester Medi-Clinic and several specialist medical services. The same can be said for schools. Several Rawsonville families send their children to schools in Worcester.
